History
As per the NASSCOM State Startup Report 2019, Tamilnadu was not even in top 20 in the rankings. Inspired by an interaction with a sugarcane juice seller, our founder Shyam realized that by assisting budding entrepreneurs with awareness, motivation, and capital, we would be able to bring more entrepreneurs from Tamilnadu. The journey of tapping the regional talent, helping them succeed, and bringing 1 Lakh Tamil speaking entrepreneurs began. Tamil + Entrepreneur – Tamilpreneur.
We humbly began as an Instagram page to create awareness about startups and their scalability potential. We started interviewing Tamil-speaking seasoned entrepreneurs, brought them into the limelight, and shared their lessons and success stories. This inspired thousands of people to get into entrepreneurship. Today Tamilnadu ranks in the Top 10 in the State Startup Ranking. We are proud to have played a pivotal role in making this happen.
